5th day Messina, Italy

Short day in Messina, Italy

If you say that Los Angeles, CA is always busy and so much Traffic.  Then you should visit Sicily, people are sooooo Irate when they are driving, blowing the horns every second.  And people just make their own lanes and stop at any point and make it a parking space.  The Cannoli's were to sweet for me, not to my liking.

4th day Naples, Italy

Naples is where Pizza was "invented" around 1860s

It is said that New York City is about the same latitude as Naples Italy.

 

What I enjoy was the architecture and building, some similar to New York buildings.  The pizza was not to my liking.

3rd day Civitavecchia (Rome)

Another short day in Civitavecchia, with buses and train ride to get to  St. Peter's Square,

Basilica, the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel.  Breath taking but so much walking, did I mention it's so hot, hot, sticky and humid and so little time to do it all.  We were sad we did not make it to the Colosseum.

 

In the Sistine Chapel you can admire Michaelangelo's breathtaking Genesis and Last Judgment but you can not take pictures.  And you must cover your shoulders and knees to visit religious buildings
